Favorite Bay Area spot

So several people, particularly women, have expressed to me negative feelings about Baker Beach, esp with regard to gawkers and disrespectful people. That being said, I'm interested in heariong peoples opinions on the best clothing optional public spots in the Bay Area. By public I mean not a commercial or private, paid admission required establishment such as Lupin or Harbin, although I would include Red White and Blue beach, which although it charges fees for use seems to be roundly considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the area.

I also suggest similar poles - threads for other regions, ie Los Angeles, San Diego, Northwest.

Didn't one of the beaches down Pacifica way go officially nudist?

    It is beautiful down there.

Thinking of Grey Whale Cove at Devil's Slide? The pass is open again, but was this accessable at all after the mudslides? I wonder if people are returning. It is a lovely beach, though.

I went to Baker today - no sun, to cold for nakedness, but enjoyed a nice walk to the end and back.

RED ROCK Marin is a great beach. It is very social and nice. It is a bit of a hike but worth it.
Baker is ok if your a guy but not great, the woman are on guard because of all of the gwakers.

Since I drive in from Sacramento, it varies. If I don't feel like climbing back up the trail from Red Rock, I'll opt for Baker's. Yep, the gawkers are annoying but as a veteran of San Onofre and Black's Beach in SoCal it's not a deal with me (then again, I'm not female ... ). But I do like Red Rock a lot; my only complaint is that since I don't have the opportunity to get there more than once or twice a year I sort of get the feeling from the regs like I'm invading their turf.
