These are all the rage on ivy league and other college campuses right now. Not a hot tub pary per say and not sexual, these are just college style social house gatherings, only everyone is completely naked. They seem to have originated at Yale in the mid 90's and expanded to schools like Brown, Dartmouth and Columbia. Unfortunately I missed this trend in my college days, but its never to late to recreate the fun. So I'm wondering would people be interested in organizing something like this in the SF Bay Area in the near future? Granted it would skew a little older and have a somewhat more mellow and refined dynamic than your avaerage kegger. The primary rules are: Everyone undress completely in the front room of the house, and you conduct yourself as you would at any normal social gathering, only unclothed.

These nude parties and gatherings where sex is NOT the focus of the day,have been going on for 20 years.
While most gatherings are pretty "underground" in recent year as other posters indicate,most major cities(unless you live in the "Bible Belt") will have one underground paper where such parties are listed. Here in Seattle,we have both straight and gay "all nude" gatherings in wich there is NO sex involved,it's simply people enjoying themselves without the burden of clothing. -

I do have an occasional hot-tub party that I semi-regularly attend, and I've been to plenty of parties where nudity randomly happens. I like the idea of a house or other private party without a lot of hard rules but a casual vibe that is non-judgemental and low pressure
Jake - I've never been to Seattle, but if you can send me a link to one of the organizers to get some idea of how their parties work. I'd definately check one of these out if I make it up there. -

of course if your like ME? you can always create your own,but the problem with that here is,I have a Leather Sling,so most parties of that sort dont remain "No Sex" oriented LOL!

Sat, July 1, 2006 - 6:42 AMI read a article in Austrailian Sun & Health magazine (not currently published) on hosting a nude dinner party and it was well written. Basically, as long as nudity is not the "focus" of the party and the hosts are willing, there should be no reason why adults or families cannot enjoy an activity such as this. One other approach I have heard of for organizing these events is to simply add, "This dinner (cook-out, movie night, etc.) will be clothing-optional" at the bottom of an otherwise ordinary invitation. This seems an honest, intelligent and reasonable approach under which guests can hardly object to nudity when it happens. You can even invite friends who you have no idea whether they would be open to attending such an event, and just see how they respond. I would do it.
