I used to go to the eastern gatherings about 10 years ago. There were always a contingent of pierced and tattooed people, as well as hippie-new ageish people around, in addition to the more conservatively family element. The Naturist Society is based in Wisconsin, for what it is worth, and they promote a family atmosphere were always trying to disassociate themselves from the more overtly sexualy element that inevitably was a presences at these gatherings as well. I know that at one time Lee Baxandal was a bit uncomfortable with the heavily tattoed and pierced crowd, particularly more intimate piercings for that reason. I don't know if he is still actively running TNS or if the organizations attitude has softened since then, but I am sure that you will not be the only body art afficianado there. I've never been to LDS but it is in Northern Cali and there should be a pretty diverse crowd in attendance. Hope this helps.

Laguna del Sol is a wonderful place.. But it is very family-oriented, so yo may feel a teensy bit out of place. You probably won't be the only shaved or pierced person there, but most seem to prefer the "natural" look. Bi straight or gay doesn/t matter because nudism is not about sex!
